My vcr rewinding a vhs tape. Sounds pretty gnarly at the end. Recorded with a jm27 into my zoom h4n. As a side note, this sound was a real pain to record. Every time i set up the mic, it seemed like the ac would come on, the dog would bark, or some other sound would ruin the recording. Whatever, i got it done.

Do the harlem shake? why not the paint can shake?. Needed to replicate someone shaking a jerry can to check if there is fuel inside. Because someone didn't think to add water or something in it while they were on set filming the bloody thing. So the closest thing i could find to recreate the sound was an old paint can down stairs.

This a sound effect i created in acid pro for a play. It is intended to represent a conflagration with an explosive start, a fire alarm and then the approach of fire engines. The play was set in the eighties. It is made from a combination of sounds drawn from field recordings, freesound effects and purchased sound effects.

I needed the sound of a plastic recycle bin being rolled out to the curb. I set my zoom h1n on the sidewalk at the end of my driveway and - in two trips - rolled the cans out to the curb. You will hear me walking to the cans in the right channel, the garbage bin is rolled from the right channel to the center-left. Then repeat for the recycle bin.

I'm trying to create a sound that resembles captain america's shield from the marvel movies. I took a recording of a metal garbage can ringing and brought it into iris 2. I cut the attack from the envelope and added light amplitude sine wave modulation. I also set a short decay. I also layered a clean sine wave underneath the recording sample in order to give the recording more umph and body when it resonates. This is the base of captain america's shield. Dvw500 in standby-off mode, idling. This sample is part of a set featuring the interior of a sony dvw500 digital video tape recorder with a tape loaded and performing various playback operations. Recorded with a pair of soundman okmii mics inserted into the unit via the cassette-slot.

Coffee shop in tokyo. Lots of background noise and conversation. Staff is cleaning. Espresso drinks are being made. This recording was made with a stereo pair of mics placed at a coincidental 120 degree angle. I rolled off the low end at 28hz to remove the sound of coffee cups being set on the counter where the mics were placed.

This is a recording i took in my back yard on the 4th of july 2014. There are the sounds of crickets as neighborhood fireworks being set off faintly in the background sounding almost like a war zone. The house is off a busy street, so there is also some traffic sounds. Neighborhood dogs bark at the fireworks faintly in the background.

Ever wandered through a spanish street market? the sound will be familiar to — very possibly all too familiar! this recording was made so close to the offending mechanical toy, that it has even picked up the noises of the mechanism itself. There is a small amount of background noise. Seemingly unnecessary period of silence included is the exact cause before the next outburst of squeaking.
